With a playoff game on the line, the Northeastern Knights rose to the challenge on Saturday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 58-21 win over the Raiders. Northeastern has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 22 points or more this season.
Northeastern's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addisen Mastriano, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. Mastriano has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Adysson Kircher, who scored 20 points.
The win (which was Northeastern's seventh in a row) raised their record to 19-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Shenandoah, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
Northeastern and the Blackhawks will face off at 4:00 p.m. on February 10th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hopefully Sheridan focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Saturday. Shenandoah does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
