The Idea Timberwolves will head out on the road to square off against Washington Leadership Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Idea has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 587 points over their last eight games.
Last Thursday, Idea didn't have too much trouble with Washington Latin Public Charter School on the road as they won 69-52.
Idea's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nehemiah Johnson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Johnson has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malachi Hoston, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Washington Leadership Academy can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent matchup last Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Washington Latin Public Charter School 64-32 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Washington Leadership Academy has managed all season.
Idea pushed their record up to 12-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Washington Leadership Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.
Everything came up roses for Idea against Washington Leadership Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 84-49 victory. Will Idea repeat their success, or does Washington Leadership Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
