The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Thomas-Fay-Custer in their matchups with Hooker: they've now lost three in a row.
Hooker's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justin Palacios, who rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. Palacios hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for six straight games. Landen Lee and his 92 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Hooker's victory.
Thomas-Fay-Custer's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Hooker, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2.
Thomas-Fay-Custer will head out on the road to face off against Apache at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Apache is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games. As for Hooker, they will be playing at home against Mangum at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mangum will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
