The Baptist Hill Bobcats lost against the Burke Bulldogs last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Baptist Hill was the victim of a rough 47-22 defeat at the hands of Burke. Baptist Hill was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Malaya Hill, who scored three points along with six steals. Hill is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 16 games she's played. Another player making a difference was JahNaree Heyward, who scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Baptist Hill has traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Burke, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8.
Baptist Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 98-23 loss vs. Military Magnet Academy on the 8th. Burke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
