After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rolla, Licking was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 12-5 margin over the Blair Oaks Falcons. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 13 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Licking's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Blair Oaks, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season.

Licking didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-1 win against Cuba on the 9th. As for Blair Oaks, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 7-4 victory against Centralia on the 9th.
