The Chula Vista Spartans will be playing in front of their home fans against the Olympian Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
While it was all tied up 2-2 at halftime, Chula Vista was not quite Bonita Vista's equal in the second half on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Barons by a score of 4-3.
Meanwhile, Olympian has not lost a match since January 5th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Montgomery and snuck past 2-1. Two seems to be a good number for Olympian as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of goals in their previous game.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Diego Valles and
Dylan Loe, who scored both of Olympian's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 16 so far this season.
Chula Vista has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-6 record this season. As for Olympian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4-6 record this season.
