Even though the North Forsyth Vikings have not done well against the Lexington Yellowjackets recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. North Forsyth came out on top against Lexington by a score of 46-37. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Forsyth.
North Forsyth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Nyemia Sides, who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 9 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Another player making a difference was Jylyia Mizell, who scored 13 points along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Lexington still got an impressive performance from Lily Ervin, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maliyah Johnson, who scored 6 points.
North Forsyth now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lexington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
North Forsyth will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Atkins at 6:00 p.m. Lexington's road trip will continue as they head out to face Providence Grove at 10:00 a.m. on November 25th.
