Liberty has gone 9-1 against Pittsburg recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Lions are taking a road trip to take on the Pirates at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Having struggled with four losses in a row, Liberty turned things around against Emerald on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Aerouants.
The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The final score came out to 25-14, 26-24, 26-24.

Liberty can attribute much of their success to Siena Ahlrich, who had 21 digs and three aces, and Ashlyn Cruz, who had four digs and three aces. That's the most aces Ahlrich has posted over her last four contests.
Meanwhile, Pittsburg narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Antioch 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won three in a row.
Pittsburg wouldn't go down easily and took Antioch into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-15, 20-25, 22-25, 15-9.
Pittsburg found their leader in sophomore Kryztigale Guartero, who had 17 digs and five aces. Those 17 digs set a new season-high mark for Guartero.
They weren't the only good servers: Pittsburg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in five consecutive matches.
Liberty's record now sits at 10-8. As for Pittsburg, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 3-15.
Everything went Liberty's way against Pittsburg in their previous meeting back in September, as Liberty made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
