Basketball Recap: Brody Denny and Ty Fritz Secure Win for Valley View

There's no place like home for Valley View, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Dixie Greyhounds by a score of 74-64 on Saturday. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Valley View to victory were Ty Fritz and Brody Denny. Fritz dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Denny went 7 for 14 en route to 24 points and five assists. Fritz is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Anthony Valenti, who posted seven points along with six rebounds and five steals.

Valley View's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.3 points per game. As for Dixie, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Valley View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 86-51 defeat against Margaretta on the 20th. As for Dixie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-37 loss against Waynesville on the 21st.
