Frontier is 9-1 against Caldwell since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Frontier Cougars will be taking part in a tournament against the Caldwell Redskins at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Wednesday.
Frontier took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They blew past Madonna, posting a 62-19 victory. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Frontier can attribute much of their success to Willow Smitley, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Kelsey Dye, who went 7 for 9 en route to 18 points and five boards. Those 11 boards gave Smitley a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Anna Bowersock, who went 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points.
Frontier smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive games.
Caldwell hasn't had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They were the clear victor by a 60-36 margin over Buckeye Local on Thursday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-14.
Frontier better focus on containing Breighlee Moracco and Lyla Lowe as the pair were huge in Caldwell's win. Moracco dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Lowe dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 boards. Moracco is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Camy Crock was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.
Caldwell's win bumped their record up to 7-14. As for Frontier, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.
Frontier barely slipped by Caldwell in their previous meeting back in January, winning 43-42. Does Frontier have another victory up their sleeve, or will Caldwell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
