The Peachtree Academy Panthers lost against the Lanier Christian Academy Lightning back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Peachtree Academy took a serious blow against Lanier Christian Academy, falling 74-26. Peachtree Academy has struggled against Lanier Christian Academy recently, as their contest on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Jia Thapar, who scored 24 points along with four steals for Lanier Christian Academy. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Roberts, who scored eight points along with five steals.
Peachtree Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peachtree Academy will take on Skipstone Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skipstone Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Lanier Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Young Americans Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
