After two games on the road, Clarkson/Leigh is heading back home. They will take on the Twin River Titans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Clarkson/Leigh didn't have too much trouble with Wisner-Pilger on the road as they won 52-37.
Chloe Hanel was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Clarkson/Leigh's points. Another player making a difference was Baylee Settje, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Twin River scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They secured a 60-55 W over Stanton. The win was all the more spectacular given Twin River's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 233rd, while Stanton is ranked 105th).
Clarkson/Leigh has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Twin River, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.
Everything came up roses for Clarkson/Leigh against Twin River in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 as the team secured a 61-17 win. With Clarkson/Leigh ahead 34-5 at the half, the game was all but over already.
