After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mount Si, the Bothell Cougars were happy to have found some success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over Eastlake. That's another feather in the cap for Bothell, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Bothell found their leader in underclassman Jaylen Mclaughlin, who scored 28 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mclaughlin has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Blake Skinner, who scored ten points along with four steals.
Bothell's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Eastlake, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Bothell will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Gig Harbor at 4:00 p.m. on January 15th. Gig Harbor presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Bothell in Washington (Gig Harbor is ranked 52nd, while Bothell is ranked 223rd). As for Eastlake, they will square off against Lynnwood at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. Lynnwood is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
