Trinity Collegiate suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Hammond by a score of 52-50.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Autumn Kind, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Makayla Legette was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
Even though they lost, Trinity Collegiate smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. This was only their first loss (out of six games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Meanwhile, Wilson Hall scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Laurence Manning Academy and snuck past 53-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wilson Hall.
Trinity Collegiate's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-4. As for Wilson Hall, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5.
Everything came up roses for Trinity Collegiate against Wilson Hall in their previous matchup on January 5th as the team secured a 67-18 win. With Trinity Collegiate ahead 36-7 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
