The Orange Grove Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 42-32 to Rockport-Fulton. Orange Grove was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Rockport-Fulton apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rockport-Fulton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kaila Flaherty, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Flaherty continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Camryn Brown was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with two steals.
Orange Grove bumped their record down to 5-12 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Rockport-Fulton, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-20.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Orange Grove will take on West Oso at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. West Oso is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games. As for Rockport-Fulton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sinton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sinton and Rockport-Fulton are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
