If the Christian Heritage Sentinels were feeling good off their 65-38 takedown of the Athens Christian Preparatory Academy Storm last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Christian Heritage fell 66-54 to East Texas Homeschool Sports on Tuesday. Christian Heritage has not had much luck with East Texas Homeschool Sports recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
East Texas Homeschool Sports' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Mason led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 14 rebounds. Mason hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Dragoo, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Christian Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Heritage will challenge St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Mary's will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. As for East Texas Homeschool Sports, they will head out on the road to challenge Tyler HEAT at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
