The Little Elm Lobos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They took a  84-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Guyer. The  defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Little Elm in their matchups with Guyer: they've now lost five in a row.
  Kensington Candler and  Braidon Kellum certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss.  Candler  scored 26 points along with four  steals, while  Kellum  scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Kellum has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Riki Adams, who  scored seven points along with seven  rebounds and two  steals.
 Little Elm has  been struggling recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 12-13 record this season. As for Guyer, the  win was  the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-8.
 Little Elm will head out on the road to  square off against  Boyd at 7:15  p.m.  on Friday. As for Guyer, they will be playing at home against Rock Hill at 7:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Rock Hill will have to bring their A-game into this one,  as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Guyer is ranked 31st).
