After five games on the road, Chilton County is heading back home. They will take on the Wetumpka Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 17 to ten on the offensive boards, a fact Chilton County proved on Tuesday. They pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over Marbury.
Chilton County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bradin Yates out in front who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Yates hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. Eli Dale was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Meanwhile, even though Central scored an imposing 55 points on Tuesday, Wetumpka still came out on top. Everything went Wetumpka's way against Central as Wetumpka made off with a 80-55 victory. The victory was just what Wetumpka needed coming off of a 76-38 defeat in their prior game.
The win got Chilton County back to even at 4-4. As for Wetumpka, the victory also got them back to even at 2-2.
