The Amistad Wolves had to suffer through a 95-62 loss at the hands of the Bunnell Bulldogs. Even though they lost, the Wolves' still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.9 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Takki Oliver, who posted 19 points along with six boards and four blocks. Miguel Chaparro was another key player, putting up 14 points and seven assists.
Even though they lost, Amistad was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
This is the second loss in a row for Amistad and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Bunnell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Amistad has already played their next game (against Woodland Regional), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Bunnell will face off against New Milford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bunnell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matches -- so hopefully New Milford likes a good challenge.
