Oliver Ames will challenge Taunton on the road at Taunton HS FB Field at 7:00 PM on Friday. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Oliver Ames, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Oliver Ames came up short against Silver Lake Regional last week, falling 18-28. This makes it the second loss in a row for Oliver Ames.
Meanwhile, while not quite a landslide, the contest between Taunton and Durfee was still a pretty decisive one as Taunton wrapped it up with a 27-7 victory. The Taunton offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the matchup anyway.
Taunton's win lifted them to 2-0 while Oliver Ames's defeat dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Taunton can add another positive mark to their record or if Oliver Ames can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Taunton's step.
