If IMater Charter was riding high  fresh off their  70-46 takedown of International Studies last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The iMater Charter Knights had to suffer through a   82-41 loss at the hands of the Downtown Doral Dolphins. The Knights were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  63-20.

 Despite the loss, iMater Charter still got an impressive performance from   Alain Alvarez, who  posted 24 points. The  contest was  Alvarez's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Ryan Charelmon, who  had six  points.
  Giancarlo Romero was  his usual excellent self,  dropping  a double-double on 32 points and 11  rebounds for Downtown Doral. Romero has been hot, having also posted two or more  steals the last seven times he's  played.  Samuel Salas was another key player,  putting up 12 points and three  steals.
IMater Charter's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Downtown Doral, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. IMater Charter will host Mater Biscayne Academy  at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Downtown Doral, they will be playing at home against North Miami Beach  at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
