The Chaminade-Madonna Lions will face off against the Miami Country Day Spartans at TBD on Wednesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Chaminade-Madonna rose to the challenge on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 45-22 margin over the Sharks. Chaminade-Madonna's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Chaminade-Madonna can attribute much of their success to Jasmine Horne, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 20 rebounds, and Ana Sofia Laszewski, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals. It was the first time this season that Horne scored 15 or more points.
Meanwhile, Miami Country Day faced the Raiders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Miami Country Day came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 49-41 on Thursday. The win was nothing new for Miami Country Day as they're now sitting on six straight.
Chaminade-Madonna's win bumped their record up to 2-9. As for Miami Country Day, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-8.
