Marcellus extended their postseason success on Saturday against World of Inquiry. They walked away with a 65-55 win over the Griffins. The victory was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on 11 straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Marcellus to victory, but perhaps none more so than Connor Ciota, who shot 50% from the field en route to 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tucker Burnett, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and ten rebounds.
World of Inquiry's loss came despite strong showings from Kanaz Linder and Junayde Richardson. Linder posted 23 points and six boards, while Richardson dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Richardson continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaedon Adams, who scored eight points.
Marcellus' record now sits at 23-4. As for World of Inquiry, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-4.
Marcellus has already played their next game, a 63-58 win against Woodlands on the 23rd. World of Inquiry does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
