The Juan Diego Catholic Soaring Eagle will head out on the road to challenge the Corner Canyon Chargers at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Juan Diego Catholic will be strutting in after a victory while Corner Canyon will be coming in after a defeat.
Juan Diego Catholic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Union, who was ranked sixth at the time (Juan Diego Catholic was ranked 17th). Juan Diego Catholic walked away with a 7-3 win over Union on Saturday.

Ellie Palmer spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sarah Fiore was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was her first of the season. Oaklee Thomas was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.
Meanwhile, Corner Canyon came up short against Brighton on Tuesday and fell 7-4. The Chargers have struggled against the Bengals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.
Katelyn Law made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Tori Barrett, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Juan Diego Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. Corner Canyon's loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Juan Diego Catholic hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383.
