Regent Prep is 6-0 against Yale since September of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Regent Prep will head out on the road to face off against the Yale Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Yale took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Regent Prep, who comes in off a win.
Two weeks ago, Regent Prep faced Barnsdall in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Regent Prep took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 61-14 victory over Barnsdall. The result was nothing new for Regent Prep, who have now won four matchups by 24 points or more so far this season.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Yale's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They suffered a rough 44-18 defeat at the hands of Drumright.
Despite the defeat, Yale got a solid performance out of Cornelius Prather, who threw for 160 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Regent Prep has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in five of their first six games, giving them a 5-1 record. As for Yale, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
Everything came up roses for Regent Prep against Yale in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 as the squad secured a 49-18 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Regent Prep since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
