It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Circle had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Winfield Vikings. The win is more of the same for the Thunderbirds, who have now won six contests in a row.
The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Circle was: they took both sets by at least 14 points. The final set scores came out to 25-10, 25-11.
Circle's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Perry Haines, who had six digs and four aces. The team also got some help from Jolie Tucker, who had 22 assists.
Circle didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Pratt on the 24th. Winfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
