Roosevelt has gone 8-2 against Ida B. Wells recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Roughriders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Guardians at 5:00 p.m. Roosevelt is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.3 runs per game this season.
Roosevelt's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Lincoln 8-0. The Roughriders haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Not much got past Ruby Frish, who gave up just five hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Lincoln off the board.

At the plate, Annabella Murphy and Zulaykha Armstrachan did most of the damage at the plate: Murphy went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Armstrachan went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Armstrachan is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Penny Thurston, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Roosevelt kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Ida B. Wells and Franklin had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Guardians lost 14-7 to the Quakers on Friday. Guardians fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Quakers since on Friday.
Ida B. Wells got a big performance out of Sophia Paladino, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lillian Chang, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Roosevelt's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.9 runs over those games. As for Ida B. Wells, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-13 record.
Everything went Roosevelt's way against Ida B. Wells when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Roosevelt made off with a 15-0 victory. Do the Roughriders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Guardians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
