Meanwhile, Mamou's ten-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Friday. They blew past Pine Prairie 38-6 on the road. Mamou's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.
Mamou relied on the efforts of Cameron Thomas, who rushed for 115 yards on only nine carries, and Keontez Campbell, who rushed for 73 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Zamaurri Brown made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Northwest is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Mamou, their victory bumped their record up to 1-8.
