Softball Recap: Lavaca Wins Going Away Against Paris

Lavaca won the last time they faced Paris and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Golden Arrows blew past the Eagles 11-1. The Golden Arrows might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by ten runs or more this season.

Maggie Landis was a standout: she scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Kaitlyn Brewer also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Lavaca has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Paris, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-6.

Coming up, Lavaca will take on Greenwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Paris, they will challenge Hackett at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
