The DuQuoin Indians lost against the Anna-Jonesboro Wildcats last Friday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. DuQuoin fell 52-42 to Anna-Jonesboro.
DuQuoin's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dwayne Wilmington, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and two steals, and Eli Maynor who scored 17 points.
DuQuoin struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
DuQuoin has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Anna-Jonesboro, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
DuQuoin will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Christopher at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Illinois (Christopher is ranked 445th, while DuQuoin is ranked 468th). Anna-Jonesboro won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Eldorado at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th.
