The Clover Hill Cavaliers lost against the James River Midlothian Rapids back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Clover Hill took a serious blow against the Rapids, falling 66-25. Clover Hill was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-17.
Despite the loss, Clover Hill saw an underclassman step up: Prisha Gupta scored 12 points along with two steals. It was the first time this season that Gupta grabbed two or more steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Kraft, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Clover Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for James River Midlothian, they pushed their record up to 13-3 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home.
Clover Hill and the Indians will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for James River Midlothian, they will head out on the road to square off against the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Huguenot is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
