The Norwell Knights will head out on the road to  take on  the Adams Central Flying Jets at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
 Norwell pushed their score all the way to ten in Saturday's  second game, but even that wasn't enough to win. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 17-10 walloping at the hands of South Adams.
  Jordan Markley was cooking despite her team's loss,   scoring two  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kaydence Clark, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI and a  double.
 Even though they lost, Norwell was hitting in the alleys and  finished the game with five  doubles. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Adams only hit a.
 Meanwhile, Adams Central beat Fort Wayne Bishop Luers 9-6  in Saturday's  second game. That three run margin sets a new team best for Adams Central this season.
  Lilli Jackson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  three earned  (and three unearned) runs off   nine  hits (and only one walk). Jackson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in three consecutive pitching appearances. Jackson was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with a  home run and two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Melina Peralez was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Brinlee Rinkenberger, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Norwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Adams Central,  the  win  made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 3-1.
 Norwell came up short against Adams Central when the teams last played  back in April of 2023, falling  11-6. Can Norwell avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
