South San Antonio West has been on the road for three straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. The South San Antonio West Cougars and the John F. Kennedy Rockets will face off at 6:30 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, South San Antonio West earned a 49-38 victory over Knippa.
Meanwhile, John F. Kennedy entered their tilt with Davenport with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. John F. Kennedy came out on top in a nail-biter against Davenport on Saturday and snuck past 44-42.
John F. Kennedy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aiden Ragland, who scored 17 points. The contest was Ragland's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Andrade, who scored seven points.
The win got South San Antonio West back to even at 5-5. As for John F. Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
South San Antonio West was able to grind out a solid win over John F. Kennedy when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 57-50. Will South San Antonio West repeat their success, or does John F. Kennedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
