Gibbs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Northeast, they bumped their record down to 2-8 with that defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
Everything came up roses for Gibbs against Northeast in their previous meeting back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 59-12 victory. With Gibbs ahead 41-10 at the half, the match was all but over already.
