Malvern Prep has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the William Penn Charter Quakers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Malvern Prep is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than William Penn Charter in Pennsylvania (Malvern Prep is ranked 11th, while William Penn Charter is ranked 117th).
Last Friday, Malvern Prep lost to Haverford School at home by a decisive 49-35 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Malvern Prep has scored all season.
Meanwhile, William Penn Charter's game on Saturday was all tied up 24-24 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes by a score of 60-52.
Malvern Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for William Penn Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-6 record this season.
Malvern Prep came out on top in a nail-biter against William Penn Charter when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 70-68. Does Malvern Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will William Penn Charter turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
