Basketball Game Preview: Midland Classical Academy Knights vs. Lake Country Christian Eagles

Midland Classical Academy and Lake Country Christian are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2019, but not for long. The Midland Classical Academy Knights will square off against the Lake Country Christian Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Midland Classical Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 71-16 win over Prince of Peace. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Eagles are ranked 1042nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Addie Dunn was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 31 points and ten boards. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. Kaleigh Sherrill was another key player, going 6-for-11 to rack up 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Midland Classical Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Lake Country Christian humbled Bishop Gorman with a 61-27 victory.

Midland Classical Academy's record is now 30-3. As for Lake Country Christian, their record now sits at 23-11.
