The Franklin Panthers will head out on the road to square off against the West Henderson Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Henderson took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Franklin, who comes in off a win.
Franklin posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 66-29 victory over Smoky Mountain. The win made it back-to-back wins for Franklin.
West Henderson suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were outmatched by A.C. Reynolds on the road and fell 65-28. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for West Henderson in their matchups with A.C. Reynolds: they've now lost nine in a row.
The match pitted two dominant guards against one another in Jaza Wilson and Julie Janus. Janus had a great game and scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Meanwhile, Wilson did her best for the losing side, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds.
West Henderson struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as A.C. Reynolds posted 15 assists.
Franklin has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season. As for West Henderson, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Franklin couldn't quite finish off West Henderson in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 and fell 58-56. Can Franklin avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
