In what's become a running theme this season, the Concord Academy Eagles gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They blew past Westminster Catawba Christian 65-15 at home. The victory was just what Concord Academy needed coming off of a 71-27 defeat in their prior match.
Leading Concord Academy to victory were Samantha Meyers and Justice Alexander. Meyers scored 15 points along with six steals, while Alexander scored 22 points along with seven rebounds. Aaliyah Mack was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine steals.
Despite the defeat, Westminster Catawba Christian saw an underclassman step up: Myana Fore scored nine points. That was a full 60% of Westminster Catawba Christian's points, marking the eighth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Concord Academy's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37.5 points. As for Westminster Catawba Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9.
