After flying high against the Sublette Larks on Friday, the Macksville Mustangs came back down to earth. Macksville was beaten by South Gray 58-20 on Saturday.
Macksville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laney Butler, who scored 4 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kambry Adams, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Macksville's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for South Gray, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.
Macksville will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for South Gray, they will head out on the road to face off against Minneola on Tuesday.
