The Wilcox Chargers will be playing at home against the Milpitas Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Wilcox scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 79-60 win over Los Altos. The win was some much needed relief for Wilcox as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Milpitas narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Los Gatos 49-46. The victory was all the more spectacular given Milpitas' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Los Gatos is ranked 124th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Milpitas to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jacob Wrencher, who scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Sisay, who scored 15 points.
Wilcox's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Milpitas, their win bumped their record up to 14-8.
Wilcox beat Milpitas 70-58 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Wilcox have another victory up their sleeve, or will Milpitas turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
