Fairdale had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Iroquois Raiders an 8-0 shutout on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Fairdale also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Iroquois and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fairdale will face off against Fort Knox at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Fairdale will be up against Fort Knox's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.8 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Iroquois, they will take on Seneca at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
