It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Beckman Patriots had no problem doing just that on Friday. They managed a 14-9 win over Capistrano Valley Christian. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Beckman.
Austin Shepard continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 36 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 90 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes.
When it comes to explaining why Capistrano Valley Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is JP Synnott. Despite the final result, he gained 124 total yards and a touchdown. Synnott was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 52 yards.
Beckman has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Capistrano Valley Christian, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2.
Beckman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Capistrano Valley Christian also has no future games currently scheduled.
