Fivay won the last time they faced Cypress Creek and things went their way on Friday too. The Fivay Falcons simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cypress Creek Coyotes 87-55. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 32 points or more this season.
Fivay's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dominick Walsh, who posted 17 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Walsh is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Another player making a difference was Odell Brown, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards.
Fivay smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 12 consecutive contests.
Several Coyotes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaiah Pilet, who made all 5 shots he took for 11 points. That's the most points Pilet has posted since back in November of 2024. Shane Callahan was another key player, putting up ten points.
Fivay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 34.8 points. As for Cypress Creek, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-12.
Fivay wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-45 victory against Gulf on the 23rd. As for Cypress Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 75-49 loss against Tampa Prep on the 21st.
