Dedham hasn't had much luck against Ashland recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Marauders will welcome the Clockers at 4:15 p.m.
Cohasset hit Dedham with a five-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Marauders fell just short of the Skippers by a score of 8-7. Marauders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Skippers since Thursday.
Jack Haven was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over 4.2 innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Cam Galvin made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Dedham is 2-1 when Galvin posts two or more runs, but 0-4 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Dowling, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.
Meanwhile, Ashland posted their closest victory since May 2, 2025 on Friday. They skirted past Wayland 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Clockers.
Michael Schreiber made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Oliver Lareau and Fionn Connery did most of the damage at the plate: Lareau got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Connery went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Dedham's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Ashland, the win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 5-3.
Dedham couldn't quite finish off Ashland in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 and fell 3-1. Can the Marauders avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
