Baseball Recap: Juab Continues Road Dominance on Friday

Juab proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Delta Rabbits 9-8. With that win, the Wasps brought their scoring average up to 6.1 runs per game.

Trevin Park was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Madix Stowell also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Juab always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .526. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Juab's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Delta, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season.

Juab will head out to take on Richfield at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Delta, they will welcome Canyon View at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Rabbits surely won't give up without a fight.
