Fort Bend Kempner scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Houston Math Science & Tech Tigers by a score of 8-7. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 7-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Nathan Kirsch was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. Devin Pena was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Fort Bend Kempner's loss dropped their record down to 0-5-1. As for Houston Math Science & Tech, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.
