Morgan Township is 0-10 against Boone Grove since April of 2017 but things could change on Monday. The Cherokees will host the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Boone Grove will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Morgan Township extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Cherokees were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over Michigan City. Considering the Cherokees have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Clayton Atchison was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Morgan Township's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is undefeated (and 2-5 when he doesn't).
