Baseball Recap: Bothell Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Bothell barely beat Bellevue the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars put the hurt on the Wolverines with a sharp 13-3 victory on Tuesday. Considering the Cougars have won five games by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wyatt Mickelberry was incredible, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Nolan LeDoux, who went 2-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Mickelberry wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Bothell lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in May of 2024.

Bothell has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Bellevue, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-5.

Coming up, Bothell will be playing at home against Lake Stevens at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cougars' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Bellevue, they are taking a road trip to square off against Mercer Island at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolverines are facing the Islanders at the right time seeing as the Islanders are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
