The Lawrence County Red Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-30 loss at the hands of West Point. Lawrence County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-14.
Lawrence County's loss came despite strong showings from Kylie Graham and Ava Boyll. Graham scored six points along with three steals, while Boyll scored six points. Graham has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played.
Lawrence County has fallen quite a ways from their 16-8 record last season and are now at 2-8. As for West Point, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence County will be home for the holidays to greet Hatton at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. West Point will be home for the holidays to greet Vinemont at 5:15 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Vinemont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Tuesday.
