Volleyball Recap: Lamar Wins Going Away Against Haltom

Lamar's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Haltom Buffalos as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Buffalos recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-16.

Tabi Young paced Lamar's offense, picking up seven kills. Young got some help from Corinne Timmons and her 12 assists. Mary Hoeller controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 13-15. As for Haltom, they dropped their record down to 9-11 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lamar will face off against rival South Grand Prairie at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Haltom is set to square off against their familiar foe Grand Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
